Video: Joe Dunthorne reads an extract from 'Submarine'!

Listen to author Joe Dunthorne read an extract from his novel Submarine, now adapted as a major motion picture by Richard Ayoade. This particular extract happens to be- well, a sex scene- that is not as much bawdy as it is authentic and downright hilarious.

Can't wait to get my hands on this book. And watch the film, of course.

P.S: I don't use this blog anymore, but I had to post this video somewhere separately. Watching it posted among all kinds of smut on Google Videos just felt... gross.

Enjoy. I clapped at the end!

And in case you haven't seen it yet, here is the gorgeous looking trailer for the film, which releases in the UK soon.

And just by the way, the film does not include this scene. Too bad, perverts. Hehe.

First Look: Quick Gun Murugan

For all those who loved Shah Rukh Khan's Quick Gun Murugan act in the otherwise pretty unfunny Om Shanti Om, here is the real thing:

Quick Gun Murugan will be released in theatres this Fall, based on the iconic Channel V character. A South Indian karmic cowboy whose duty is to protect vegetarianism and cows. When faced with the world-conquering arch villain restaurant owner who wants to create the ultimate McDosa chain using beef, Quick Gun enters into an epic battle of Vegetarianism VS. Non-Vegetarianism. Mind It!

Looks like some bloody brilliant and mindblowing stuff from Shashank Ghosh, the guy who gave us the wonderfully quirky Waisa Bhi Hota Hai. Take a look, people.

And remember to... MIND IT!

Promos: Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na

Prolific writer Abbas Tyrewala's directorial debut's first look leaves a nice impression

The 'first-look' promo of Abbas Tyrewala's directorial debut is one of the cutest and best teasers for a Hindi film that I have seen in a long time- it totally took me by surprise! The teaser of the film, which features Aamir Khan's nephew Imran Khan and Genelia D'souza is a superbly funny and cheeky take on typical 'new-hero' launches that try to sell and produce a star on brawn appeal, à la a certain Hrithik Roshan. Take a look, this surely should be something to look out for! By the way, the music of the film- produced by the makers of Taare Zameen Par- is by AR Rahman. Looking forward to a fresh college romance- and it's sure been ages since we've had one of those. We're waiting, Mr. Tyrewala.

UPDATE: The first song has come on air just recently- am already hooked. Both Imran and Genelia look incredibly fresh and nice, and ARR rocks as usual!
